Show mm NIGHT VISION Carrots have long been recommended as a way of improving night vision. But motorcycle riders have a set of problems seeing and being seen at night that carrots can't help. Their bike's smaller size and silhouette sil-houette can make them more difficult to be seen by other drivers. That's why motorcyclists take extra care to make themselves seen at night, says the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. They equip their bikes, their helmets and their clothing with reflective material to catch other driver's eyes. Riders also make sure they have an unscratched and , untinted face shield on their helmets. That way they can see as clearly as possible without the glare of oncoming headlights blurring blur-ring their vision. Because motorcycle headlights head-lights may not cover the road as well as a car's do many riders slow down at night so they don't override over-ride their beams. They also may use other vehicles' headlights to see a little bit farther down the road. |
