All types of construction in the county are up in comparison with 1981, said Jess Miller, zoning administrator. Total building permits to date for Uintah County increased 57 percent over 1981. The number of building permits per-mits for duplexes increased 1,100 percent, per-cent, mobile homes, 37 percent; commercial com-mercial and industrial building permits, per-mits, 64 percent; and single family residences increased 46 percent. The total valuations of building permits per-mits issued from Jan. 1982 to June 1982 increased 92 percent for single family residence, 71 percent for mobile homes, 179 percent commercial and industrial and duplexes were up $759,000 in valuation valua-tion over 1981 during the same period. Miller said that complete construction construc-tion drawings are now required before building permits are issued. "All contractors con-tractors and individuals starting construction con-struction prior to obtaining a building permit will be charged double the building permit fee," he said. "That also applies to mobile home placement on private lots." "Final inspections and occupancy certificates are now required," he reminded contractors and builders. Miller said his office now has a highly qualified staff to handle all questions regarding building and zoning requirements re-quirements in the county.
