Show Tries to rid snakes; starts forest blaze A Boise, Idaho man who tried to burn a nest of snakes out of an outhouse could be stuck with about a $15,000 bill for firefighting after the incident started a 60-acre fire, according to a U.S. Forest Service official. Dale Latham and his family were camping in the Boise National Forest when he spotted two snakes climbing up the walls of the pit in a latrine. When he tried to use kerosene to burn the snakes out, the latrine blew up, Latham recalled. 1 He suffered first-and second-degree burns on his face, chest and feet. |
