Show All-American Girl Of The Year L.Miir-.. 3 I II j " Meet Stacey Teas, a young "zoologist" from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and winner of the third All-American All-American Girl of the Year award. A ninth grade student stu-dent at Cape Elizabeth High School, Stacey was one of five finalists in this one-of-a-kind contest. Sponsored jointly by 'Teen Magazine and the makers of Noxzema Skin Cream, it was created to focus the nation's attention atten-tion on the many teenage achievers all over the country coun-try whose remarkable talents tal-ents and accomplishments are worthy of public acclaim. As the grand prize winner, win-ner, Stacey received a $2500 Noxzema Educational Scholarship Schol-arship and a trip for two to Los Angeles, was interviewed by CBS radio and featured in newspaper stories all over the country. Just how did a 14-year-old girl capture all this attention and applause? Stacey's prize-winning accomplishment ac-complishment was her work with the Children's Museum in Portland, Maine, where she designed and installed one of the few live museum exhibits in the country today. to-day. Called "Animal Acres", the exhibit features local i mi 1 h 1 i t U fish and smaller species of wildlife, all captured and nurtured by Stacey herself. At 14, Stacey hasn't firmed up her career plans but she knows she'll study zoology. "I'll be with animals ani-mals some way," she told us, " through research, teaching teach-ing or actually working in a zoo."
