Show Jensen RV park begins construction Construction began Monday on a 135-unit 135-unit recreational vehicle park in Jensen which Deseret Generation and Transmission Tran-smission has contracted for 75 percent of the units for workers on the first phase of their Bonanza Plant. The RV park will be located on the southeast corner of the intersection of U.S. 40 and U-149 to Dinosaur National Monument, said Shane Luck of Clark Construction. DG&T has said they will supply $50,000 up front money to up grade the Jensen water system for the RV park, Fisher said. DG&T will be reimbursed with water connections. Deseret has also entered a lease agreement with i' Esquire Estates for 60 mobile home ' units. ' J Fisher said that they expect 350-400 people to be working on the project during the first year; 30 percent will be local persons and most the other are already here, Fisher said. During the second year of construction con-struction of the Bonanza Plant, Deseret may build a bachelor barracks to temporarily house workers. The park is under construction by Clark Construction of Vernal and will be completely landscaped with grass and recreation area. Many of the first workers on the project are from the Wasatch Front where they will travel home on the weekends living in RVs during the week, said Kenneth Fisher, Deseret Generation and Transmission. |
