Show V Manila Clara koblnson Phone 704-3463 Manila Ward held budget dinner The Manila LDS Wurd Elder's Quorum sponsored a ward budget dinner on the north lawn of the Manila I J)S Church Thursday evening. Special attractions of the meal were barbecued chicken, homemade rootbeer and ice cream. Games were arranged for the children. Proceeds are to help with the addition to the present chapel. Manila fathers and their sons are invited to a special fathers and sons campout starting at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pine Groves. The new garage that was being constructed at the Manila High School was completed this week. The work moved rapidly through the week with each day seeing the walls insulation or roofing being put in place. Visiting at the John Tinker home during the 24th of July weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tinker and daughter Pat of Casper and Mary Ella " Siieler of Little Rock, Arkansas. Albert and Mary Ella are the brother and sister of John. Mrs. Curtis Slauch spent last week in Green River, Wyo. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Brady. She also enjoyed a visit with her granddaughter and children, Mrs. Tolo Hoching of Samoa. Mrs. Hoching is the former Lenna Brady. Art Robinson and son and Fred Ware and son of Rock Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson of Roosevelt visited William Robinson Thursday. Manila LDS Primary children will sponsor a special program at the church July 31. |
