Show Dora Cook dies in Nephi Dora Calder Cook, 93, died at her home in Nephi, Utah. July 14, 1981. She was the daughter of George Calder and Mary Bennion. She was born Nov. 14, 1887 at Mill Creek, Salt Lake County, at Calder's Park. She completed courses at the University of Utah in the spring of 1908 and moved to Vernal. The next three years she taught at the Vernal Central School. She married William Harry Cook. Sept. 13, 1911 in the Salt Lake Temple. She w as a member of the LDS Church and held positions in the Sunday School, Primary and Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association. In 1961 Mr. and Mrs. Cook moved to Nephi where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. Cook died October 12, 1970. Survivors are one son, Lee Cook of Reno, Nevada and seven daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Aorna) Wells, Glendale, California; Mrs. Linton (Merle) Bazant, Whittier, California; Mrs. Steve (Louise) Juhasz, Akron. Ohio; Mrs. Jack (Florence) Joslin, Big Bear, Calif.; Mary Cook, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Ellen Sullivan, San Jose, Calif, and Zelpha Broadhead, Nephi, Utah. Also 24 grandchildren, 58 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and seven great-greatgrandchildren. |
