Missing when the picture was taken were Holly Hunsaker, Maureen Huber, Kathleen Huber, DeLyn Bryant, Kim Wall, Sheri Labrum, Jeanette Wiseman and Christine Maesel. The team had an undefeated record of 6-0. VERNAL 7th-4th nabbed first place in the Vernal Ver-nal Utah Ashley Stake Girl's Softball League with a record of 6-1. Members of the team are: front row, left to right, Ronda Julander, Wendy Tullis, Mindy Valora, Karine Walker, Terri Allred, Jonyse Brady and back row, Camille Six teams have undefeated records Young's Faint and Tosco are in first place in the A division in the Vernal Men's Softball League at 2 wins and 0 losses and the Intermountain Diggers, Hospital, Wilkins Transportation and Nowsco are in first place in the B division at 2-0. The Outsiders, Lamplighter Lam-plighter Bailers and Freestone Construction Con-struction are in third place at 1-1 in the A division. Twin Cinema has a 0-0 record and Ashton's and Target Trucking are 0-1. The Mountain States crew is 0-2. The Valley Rookies have a 1-1 mark in the B division and Salty Oaks, D & G. Western Company and Smith's are 0-2. The Intermountain Diggers downed Salty Oaks, 14 to 3 and Tosco downed Ashton's. Young's Paint downed Freestone Construction 16 to 7 and Hospital toppled D & G. The Outsiders defeated Mountain States and Tosco toppled Lamplighter. Wilkins downed Western Company, 20 to 13 and the Intermountain Diggers downed D & G. Freestone Construction defeated the Outsiders 27 to 10 and the Lamplighter Bailers toppled Mountain States. Nowsco downed Smith's July 21. Wilkins Transportation downed Smith's and Hospital defeated Western Company. Valley Rookies edged Salty Oaks 15 to 11 and Young's Paint stomped Target Trucking 25 to 10. Nowsco defeated the Valley Rookies July 22. Young's Paint picked up two wins July 14 over Wilkins and the Valley Rookies. The Outsiders downed Ashton'sAVestern Company downed Wilkins and Ashton's downed D & G. Freestone thumped the Hospital and Target Trucking thumped Salty Oaks and Western Company. Twin Cinema defeated the Intermountain Diggers and Lamplighter downed Nowsco. Smith's downed Nowsco and Lamplighter Lam-plighter toppled Mountain States. Mountain States defeated Smith's, July 14. Games set for Tuesday, August 4 are: Wilkins vs Nowsco, Western Company vs Salty Oaks, Diggers vs Hospital, 6 p.m. Smith's vs Valley Rookies, 6:30 p.m.; Target Trucking vs Lamplighter, Twin Cinema vs Mountain States, D & G vs Nowsco, 7:10 p.m.; Ashton's vs Outsiders, Freestone vs Tosco, Target Trucking vs Mountain States, 8:20 p.m. and Ashton's vs Freestone, Young's Paint vs Tosco, Twin Cinema vs Outsiders, Out-siders, 9:30 p.m. Contests scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 are: Hospital vs Valley Rookies, 6 p.m.; Diggers vs Western Company, 6:30 p.m.; Wilkins vs Salty Oaks, 7:10 p.m.; Diggers vs Smith's 8:20 p.m. and Ashton's vs Young's Paint, 9:30 p.m. Young's Paint and the Outsiders won two games and lost two games in a Softball tournament in Price Friday and Saturday. Young's downed the Elks of Price 23 to 8 and Kaiser Steel of Price 12 to 9. Young's dropped a 16-14 game to Peak Alarm of Salt Lake City and was edged by Budweiser of Cleveland, 5 to 4. The Outsiders downed Pierce Oil of Price and Tony's Tigers of Salt Lake City. The Outsiders suffered losses to Dinosaur Tire, Price and Budweiser of Cleveland. A team of Lamplighter and Freestone players lost two games in a tournament in Orem and Twin Cinema competed in a tournament in American Fork, but did not place. The Vernal Men's Softball League Tournament is set for August 17-21 and the Vernal Invitational is scheduled for August 26, 27 and 28. w . s f . 5 ' y y !
