Amoco Production guaged a flow of fas from a depth zone at the rate of 13 nillion cubic feet daily on tests at a well list north of Whitney Canyon, the No. 1 .'hamplin-457-A. Gas is from a depth of '4,230 feet. Amoco has scheduled a new Cell in this area, the No. 1 Champlin-I 468-B, to go to a depth of 15,600 feet. Current drilling reports show 31 wildcat (exploratory wells) located or in the process of drilling in Uinta County Coun-ty alone, noted Mr. Stowe. In Utah, a new oil discovery in the Uinta Basin region is announced by Gulf Oil Corporation. Its No. 1-1682 Ute Tribal in the Duchesne area is flowing 102 barrels of oil and 23,000 cubic feet of gas from 6,378 feet; Additional well locations and drilling is in progress in this area. Kock Exploration completed the No. 10-1 Reimann in this general vicinity flowing 429 barrels of oil and 611,000 cubic feet of gas daily from 6,122 feet. It is seven miles southwest of the town of Duchesne. In Uintah County Carmack Drilling has scheduled three more wildcat wells in an eight well planned program in the Vernal-Jensen region. Carmack's wells are to be drilled to depths below 1,000 feet. Burton-Hawks, Casper, Wyoming will drill two test wells in Utah. One, the No. 17-1 Twelve Mile Creek-Federal in Duchesne County will go to about 3,800 feet. The other, the No. 27-1 Sowers Canyon-Federal, is a projected 4,950 foot test well, about 20 miles southwest of Duchesne. Two Rich County test wells have been abandoned. American Quasar Petroleum drilled the No. 18-1 Federal to 10,948 feet, total depth, in the Woodruff area. Marathon Oil's No. 1-15 South Eden Canyon went to 18,000 feet. A test from 17,446-17,533 feet recovered highly gas cut water and mud cut water. It is 14 miles north of the town of Randolph. Elsewhere, new drilling is scheduled in Emery County by Columbia Gas Development. A projected 2,750 foot test is to be drilled about 32 miles south of Woodside. The operator is to drill a test well also in Wayne County. Resources Investment has location for a 2,800 foot well in San Juan County's Monticello area. A Cortez, Colorado independent, in-dependent, Russel Brown - will drill a ' third well in the Mexican Hat area 16 miles southwest of the town of Bluff.. A remote test well is scheduled in Sevier County approximately 20 miles southwest of the town of Emery. Gulf Oil will drill the No. 1 Johnson Livestock to about 10,600 feet.
