Show Uinfeoh Counfy assessed vcalucif ion hifs 5.9 eviillion The assessed valuation of Uintah County for 1979 reached an all-time high of $85,921,387, according to state and local valuation reports released this week. . . The assessed valuation this year represents a $14,665,418 increase over last year. Figures from the State Tax Assessors office on property directly taxed by the state amounted to $52,427,292. This included all mineral lands, utilities, oil and gas and right-of-ways in Uintah County. Last year the state valuation report was $41,254,203. The assessed valuation of all locally taxed property, which includes all real property and businesses, this year totals $33,494,095. Last year this total was $30,001,766. The breakdown of locally assessed property for 1979 is: real estate, $5,091,003; buildings, structures, etc., $16,618,396; personal property, $10,901,624; and livestock, $883,072. In comparison, assessed valuation of Uintah County for previous years are, 1976. $62,246,625: 1977, $60,609,638; and 1978, $71,255,969. The additional assessed valuation will give more money to the county and may enable a reduction to be made in the mill levy. The 1979 mill levy will be set by.the County Commission by the middle of August. Property taxes are due before the last day of November. Notices will be mailed out after the mill levy has been set, usually in September. Sep-tember. The mill levy for Uintah County last year, for unincorporated areas, was 65.19 mills, an increase of 2.62 mills. The mill levy in 1977 was 62.57. |
