Show Traffic count down in state, varied in Basin Traffic counts at 62 recording stations in Utah during May indicate a 3.1 percent overall traffic decrease compared with the corresponding month of last year, according to the Utah Department of Transportation traffic bulletin. In the Uintah Basin area the May traffic count indicated a 2.7 percent decrease for this year to date compared to last year and 1.8 percent decrease for May on U.S. Highway 40 east of Jensen. On highway U-44 north of Vernal the May traffic count showed a decrease of 2.2 percent and the corresponding period to date showed an increase of u.b percent. U.S. 40 west of Roosevelt had a traffic cpunt increase of 4.2 percent in May and 5.9 percent for the period to date. U-87 north of Duchesne was up 6.3 percent for May and 4.9 percent for the period to date. Traffic on Parleys Canyon 1-80 increased in-creased 0.9 for May and decreased 6.1 percent for the period to date. U.S. Highway 40 at Daniels Canyon was up 2.7 percent for May and down -0.5 percent for the period to date. |
