Show State health council appoints local member A Uintah County resident selected to serve on a statewide Hea! Planning Council (HPC) Friday, Jm 29 in Vernal. In action taken at the Utah Hea; Systems Agency's (Utah HSA's) i nual meeting, Judy Limb of Verr; was appointed by the agenc; Governing Board to work with oth HPC representatives-local consumf elected officials and hea. professionals from across the state-improve state-improve Utah's health care delta system. Other new HPC members inclm Norma Thomas. Provo; Mayor J; Marshall, Springville; Claude Re; Randolph: Beverly White. Tooele:' Don Houston, St. George; Mayor T Lee, South Jordan: and Dr. Rote Bauer. Salt Lake City. The Utah HSA was created in I 1976 to implement state and natiff health planning laws in local U communities. Even though the age: functions under both state and fede: laws, it is not part of either, but sen as a public regional planning t responsible for Utah health policy Like the two divisions of the I Congress-the Senate and House, l-HSA's l-HSA's Board and Council fund separately but work toward comr goals developing effective health la-Both la-Both bodies are comprised of a cm section of elected officials and co ' sumers and providers of health ft !i representing all parts of Utah.
