Show By Mrs. Dan Gerber When you buy Gerber baby food, look for the date stamped on the jar lid or side of the box. It assures you that you're buying baby's foods at their best possible flavor and quality. Cereal and bakery items say "Better If Used Before," and strained and junior foods, juices and Toddler Meals read "For Better Quality Use By Date Below." A date that' looks like this: 03 OCT 80 is read like this: October 3, 1980. Using foods past a given date is not harmful as long as the vacuum seal is intact. But, buying and using foods before the date shown is "quality insurance" for you. |
