Show ' - ! ! r r. I MR. AND MRS.VAL COOK, are making their home in Vernal following their June 16 wedding at Glines Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Val Cook united in June 16 rites Mr. and Mrs. Val Cook were married June 16 at the Glines Ward in Vernal. Brent Keltch performed the ceremony before relatives and friends of the couple. Parents of Clairene are Mrs. Ardith Burton Edmiston of Craig, Colorado and the late Thomas Burton. Val's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clifton (Bud) Cook of Vernal. Among the out-of-town guests attending at-tending were the bride's mother, Mrs. Wayne (Ardith) Burton Edmiston and Mrs. Jim (Ielien) Wise and family and Mrs. Glenn (Dalee) Dennies and family, all of Craig, Colorado and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielson and family of Pensacola. Florida. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the chapel. The bride's off-white, long wedding gown was designed and sewn by Dalee Dennies, a sister of the groom. The double-knit material came from Pensacola, Florida and was designed by combining features from several patterns. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a natural waistline and had unlined lace sleeves gathered to fitted wristbands. The long flowing skirt extended in easy folds to a short train. Her sheer fingertip veil was edged with narrow lace. She carried a cascading bouquet of blue and white feather flowers tied with white and blue satin ribbon. Matron of honor was Mrs. Ielien Wise, the bride's sister. Bridesmaid was Dana Osiek and flower girls were Tammy and Lawana Rich. The attendants at-tendants wore long, light-blue dresses and carried blue and white feather flower bouquets. Bestman was Brad Murray. At the guest book and in the gift room were the sisters and sisters-in-law of the groom. Serving were Candy Jo Wise, Dave Jo and Sherri Lynn Corey and Angaline and Renita Cook. The five tiered wedding cake featured a fountain on the bottom layer and was covered with white icing and decorated with blue satin flowers. White bells were on the top of the cake which was made by RaNae Lawson, a sister of the bride, from Roosevelt. The couple is now at home in Vernal. |
