Show PROVO SCHOOLS TO BEJUSHED PROVO Following the announcement an-nouncement of approval of a $M,M3 P W A grant for two new Provo school buildings Oscar A. Spear, president of the board, said actual construction would begin within a few weeks, although buildings would not be ready for occupation before . the fall of 193. .. The new buildings will replace the Parker and Timpanogoa elementary ele-mentary schools, recently found unsafe. un-safe. Superintendent J. C Moffitt has made a thorough study of recent re-cent types of buildings, together with members of the board and local lo-cal architects, and Is expected to make his recommendations to the school board on the designs to be used in the new structures. The Parker building will be designed de-signed by Ashworth it Markham. James E. Allen and an associate will be architects for the Timpanogoa Timpa-nogoa school. Sites tentatively chosen Indicate that the Parker building will be erected at Fifth East and Sixth North streets. The Timpanogos building will probably be built on tha northeast corner of the present sits of the school at Fifth West and oFurth North streets. .Meanwhile, both buildings axa being be-ing repaired and strengthened to make them safe for the coming school year. |
