Show PHOSPHATE SURVEY OPENS NEXT MONTH LOGAN Surveys of four western states' phosphate deposits will begin September 15, E. G. Peterson, president presi-dent of the Utah State Agricultural college and chairman of the committee com-mittee on administrative relations of the four states, Including Idaho,! Utah, Montana and Wyoming, announced an-nounced Thursday. Mr. Peterson was being assisted' with arrangements by Dr. J. Stewart Stew-art Williams, professor of geology at the college. Heading the party will be Dr. Harry Curtis, In charge of phosphate phos-phate experiments In the Tennessee valley. Representatives of the United Unit-ed Ststes department of agriculture, geological survey and other federal government departments were also expected to participate. Purpose of the survey will be to locate the heaviest phoaphste rock deposits In anticipation of constructing con-structing a processing plant to concentrate con-centrate rock phosphate for farm use. |
