Show MEETING HELD TO CONSIDER CITY BEAUTIFICATION The possibilities of initiating a thorough cleanup and beautifica-tion beautifica-tion of Springville City before the opening of the April Art exhibit were outlined at a meeting Monday Mon-day evening of members of the City Centennial Committee together togeth-er with representatives and presidents presi-dents from the various civic organizations orga-nizations and ladies' clubs. Formal plans for a clean-up campaign were discussed and it was decided that the men's organizations organi-zations should work with the various vari-ous wards in a clean-up drive with more detailed arrangements to be worked out. Mrs. Charles Franks was appointed to represent the ladies clubs on the campaign. Paul K. Herbert B. Maw had accepted an invitation to attend the opening of the high school Art Show April 1, and that the Utah Centennial Queen, together to-gether with her attendants would also be present for the opening. It was further pointed out at the meetmg that inasmuch as many distinguished persons and hundreds of people from over the country would be in SpringviUe for the Art event, through April, 'that the city should be made as attractive as possible by the close of this month, i " , It was also announced at the meeting that efforts would be made by the Centennial committee commit-tee to secure a presentation of the opera, "Blossom Time," here in SpringviUe. |
