Show WAR II ACTIVITIES UNDER A S1HBLE HEAD One Organization to Look After the Several Interests In-terests in Idaho. Special to The Tribune. BOISE, Idaho, July 31. A consolidation of tlie Liberty loan, war savings and certificates certi-ficates of indebtedness headquarters maintained in Boise during the period the United States was in the war and up to the present time, has been perfected by Robert E. Smith, director of war loan organizations for the Twelfth federal reserve re-serve district and president of the Title & Trust company pt Portland. Montie B. Gwinn, twice chairman in the government bond drives for the state, who made such a commendable success of tho work, was appointed director in charge of the consolidation known as the "War Loan Organization of Idaho." lie has ac- j cepted the post. Crawford Moore,- who hns been chair- ; man of the certificate of indebtedness or- j ganization, and Allen B. Eaton, director for the state for war savings, were appointed ap-pointed associate directors. Mrs. M. J. j Sweelcy of Twin Falls was named an as- i sociate director. j The consolidation will have one central j office and office force. The separate state organizations maintained by the : three governmental activities will be kept 1 intact, but consolidated under the new , plan. These include the banks and bankers, bank-ers, all county chairmen, county councils of defense, etc. The same plan is being carried out in other states in the Twelfth district. Mr. Smith announced that hereafter saving certificates issued by the United Stat es treasury will be in denomina tions of $100 and $1000. The ?100 certificates will bo . issued by banks and postoffices. The payment on them will be s3.-J0. The $1,000 certificates will be issued through the banks only on the pnyinent of $S34. These certificates will mature in four years and five months. The money is reimbursed to the subscriber through the i issuing bank. |
