Show ESCAPED CONVICT TO BE RETURNED TO UTAH That Aucrust Cummins, escaped convict con-vict from the Utah state prison, who was apprehended recently In Los Angeles on the charge of asuaunt with intent to kill against a taxicab driver of that city, has been identified and will be returned to Salt Lake, was the message received yesterday by Warden George A. Storrs of the state prison. Cumminps escaped from the Utah prison road camp at St. John in November Novem-ber with Harvey Ketchum, said Warden Storrs last night. When the two convicts con-victs were escaping two -mules were stolen from the road camp and left at the Kanaka ranch in Skull valley by them. At Skull valley two horses "were stolen. Shortly after Ketchum was shot by Sheriff D. M. Adamson of Tooele county, who with Warden Storrs was in pursuit. Ketchum died after receiving receiv-ing the shot which broke his back. Cummin Cum-min gs continued hi8 flight. Cummings had yet to serve a sentence of from one to three years for a burglary committed In a sheep camp in the southern south-ern part of the state. : |
