Show SIXTY QUIZZED InJ Scores of Suspected Slackers Slack-ers in District Questioned Ques-tioned by Officers. Sheriff John S. Corless, aided by a large number of deputies, rounded up scores of suspected slackers in the Bins- nam district last night. Sixly men were i taken into custody. All but three were released pending a further investigation into their cases. . Deputy Sheriff Carstensen' and about a-dozen a-dozen men had charge . of the work in CopperSeld; Deputy Sheriff F. E. Schoppe and another big force looked after the Highland Boy district, and Chief Deputy Oscar Fullmer and a large force combed Bingham, proper. Of the sixty men arrested all but three had registration cs-rds, but claimed they had not been called to report to their boards. The suspects were examined by U W. Aid rich, chairman of No 1 exemption ex-emption board, and Captain F. V Fitz Gerald They were given until Friday August 2, to prove that they are not endeavoring to evade military duty It was announced that Captain' Filz Gerald would communicate with the boards with which the men are registered them? 6r information concerning |
