Show LONG ILLNESS FATAL TO VETERAN OFFICER Patrolman John L. Forbes Succumbs .After Four Months of Suffering. following an illness of four months Patrolman John L. Forbes died yesterday yester-day at his residence, 165 Mead street at the age of 5C years. ' Mr. Forbes was born in Nebraska, and came to Stilt Lake with his parents Henry C Forbes and Esther Seddou rorbes when only six months old He was educated at St, Mark's school anc! served as a deputy sheriff under C Frank Fmerv and Joseph C. Sharp! During the last four years he had been & patrol driver on the Salt Lake police iorce. Besides his widow, three children, Misses Mildred and Dorothy Forbes and John L. 1- orhes, Jr., survive him as do also three sisters, Mrs. Esther e' Rapper Mrs. LUa Sanderson and Mrs' u. O. Corbin.
