Show DRAGON SHIPPING BIG MTOMGE Property Is Sending to Smelter 200 Tons of Iron Ore Daily. The -year Trhich is just drawing to a close has been one of the most important import-ant in the history of the Dragon Consolidated Consoli-dated mine, and while the property has not yet landed in the list of dividend payers a large surplus has been built up, and if conditions remain as satisfactory satisfac-tory as they are at present it should not be many months until the shareholders sharehold-ers will be able to share in the profits of the company, says the Eureka Reporter. The Dragon is second in Tintic's long list of producers for the year 1916, the mine having shipped approximately 75,000 tons, this, of course, including the ore which has been sent to the plant of the Tintic Milling company. A considerable part of the mine's tonnage for the past rive or six months has been iron ore, which is used as a flux by the smelting companies, and, according to Assistant Manager Birch of the Knight mines, the dragon now has a contract which calls for fully 200 tons of this ore per day. The changes which have taken place In the -north end of the property, near the line dividing the company's holdings from the Iron Blossom, are most gratifying gratify-ing to the management- In that particular particu-lar part of the Dragon ground some fine new ore bodies are being developed. It is from this section of its territory that the Urason has been getting the bulk of its whipping ore and a good part of the milling product. Some deep prospecting is now being done in the south end of the ground, and beneath the big iron deposits which are located there the company hopes to find deposits of high-grade ore. |
