Show DOUBLE FUNERAL FOR j PNEUMONIA VICTIMS F.L PASO, Tex., Jan. 1. A double! military funeral will he held for Corporal Cor-poral Joseph H. Wiedeburn or! company I and Private Harry W. Kemby of company com-pany D, Thirty-third Michigan' infantry, who died in the Fort Bliss hospital yesterday yes-terday 'within a few minutes of each other from pneumonia. Wiedeburn came from East Jordan and Rem by from Alpena, Mich. The only two previous deaths in this reeiment resulted also from pneumonia. The citizens of Flint, Mich., have offered to ship to a lower altitude any soldier from their town who has developed this disease. Tt is the 'practice when pneumonia patients can be moved to ship them from El Paso, which has an altitude of 4000 feet, to Yuma, Ariz., which is below sea level. Corporal Wade C. Ball of company K. Third Xorth Carolina infantry, enlisting at Ashboro, X. C, died here of concussion concus-sion of the brain following an assault by au unknown, person. |
