Show MOTTO MEET ej FRIDAY Manhattan Club Changes Night Owing to New Year's Day. Friday night h.13 been picked by Hardy Downing for his weekly Manhattan Man-hattan club fistic vaudeville, instead of the usual Monday evening. The change was made because of the New Year's celebration last night. Young Gilbert, the fighting boiler-maker boiler-maker and lightweight champ of Utah, will meet Kid Mex. of Denver in the six-round headliner. This is a return meeting between the two hard-hitting lightweights. At the first meeting a short while ago Kid Mex started out by clipping Gilbert on the jaw and putting put-ting him down for the count of nine. Cms Williams, heralded as the now find, will meet -Toe Manes of San Francisco Fran-cisco as the headliner of the four-round bouts of the Friday night show. Manes fought Kid Davis last Monday and is a clever voting mixer. He is well known to 'local fluht fans ami about the toughest bov Williams has ever met. Kid Mack and Kid Dutch will stage a sin gf est. Dutch has been slamming all comers to the mat this winter and is one of the best rough and ready mitt artists of the Manhattan club. Mack, who is also a haymaker king, has not been in many bills this winter. Last venr he did some splendid fighting and a fast mill is assured when he tangles with Kid Dutch Friday. Jack Brunsell, a hard-hittine scrapper, scrap-per, will tangle with Jack Bailee, a husky afhlcte from the eorwt. This, also, will ho a fdam-bans: battle. .
