Show CITY HOSPITAL HAS VERY BUSY MONTH December was a month of great activity ac-tivity at the city emergency hospital, due mostly to accidents which resulted from slippery streets and children coasting. coast-ing. Any previous month's record was equaled in minor cases, with the major cases running about the average. Most of the important cases were handled by Dr. S. I). One man was painfully pain-fully burned by an explosion, caused by gases forming in a furnace and exploding. ex-ploding. Domestic quarrels were responsible for two men oeing brought to the hospital hos-pital for treatment. One was shot through the leg during an altercation. The other was stabbed with a knife. In both cases the men recovered sufficiently suf-ficiently to return to their homes. Fights in saloons brought several men to the city emergency hospital. Two were badly battered. Five children were injured in coasting coast-ing accidents.
