Clyde Armour, an employee of a Sioux City f;as a ml electric company, who is nipped ni-pped to have been murdered by his traveling" companion, E. W. Blnncett, now under arrest at Kridnv Harbor. Wash., left Sioux City early last fall for New Mexico overland, driving nn automobile purchased to make a trip to i the southwest for his mother's health. He Vas employed for some time at j Albuquerque and Santa Fe by the Santa i Ye railroad. Against protests of his: friends, he set out by automobile f or i "Fresno, Cal., with a stranger whom hoi had picked up as a traveling companion.! Armour has not been seen after : starting on that trip. Telegrams bear-1 ing his name came to relatives in Sioux ; City and Dakota county, Xeb., asking I for money. His name is alleged to have j been forged to a hotel register in Santa! Ye. and the signatures on the telegram have been declared false. The automobile automo-bile was sold by a man posing as Armour. Ar-mour. - Armour's brothers started the investigation inves-tigation which brought to light the facts about the fake telegrams and hotel signature and which now has resulted in the arrest of Blanectt for murder. |
