DETERMINED FIGHT UPON TUBERCULOSIS Hoalth Commissioner Paul to Conduct Vigorous Campaign Against tho Dread. Dlsoa&e. Preparations for an active campaign against tuberculosis in Salt Lake, the first to bo undertaken by the local authorities, au-thorities, are being made by the city board or health. Dr. Samuel G. Paul, health commissioner, commis-sioner, announced 3'esterday that within with-in tho next two weeks the dopartmont will launch a campaign of education against the dread disease, which, he declares, de-clares, is on the increase, in Utah and must bo nipped in tho bud or it will become a proDlem as grave as it has bo-como bo-como in castorn states. Tho campaign will begin with exhibits ex-hibits in local store .windows of placards and illustrations Betting out tno need of precaution against tuberculosis. Literature Lit-erature will bo distributed widely t dealing deal-ing with tho care of tuboroulosis patients pa-tients so as to offect a cure if possible, but primarily to prevent the spread to others who como in contnet with the patient. Condemnation of the fly will form a featuro of tho campaign. Flies and tuberculosis tu-berculosis will be associated together in tho public mind and tho department will endeavor to oducato citizens to tho fact that by killing tho fly tho danger of tuberculosis will bo materially reduced.
