OCR Text	Show JUVENILE OFFICER RECEIVES SURPRISE G. M. Mumford, clerk of tho juvenile juve-nile court, unexpectedly played host to the other officers of the court at his home in Murray last night. Armed with flowers and accoutrod for a trood timo generally, Chief 'Juvenile Officer Guardello Brown and his assistants took Mr. Mumford 's residonco by storm. Ho was much surprised, but rose to the occasion, and all reported i a delightful evening. , Thoso who planned and carried out i tho surprise wore, besides Officer Brown, Goorgo Hobinson. S. McMns-, tors, Jr., C. A. Snorry, Mrs. A. L. Young and Mrs. Hattio James. Mr. Mumford was for many years engaged in educational work before ho was up- j pointed to his present position.
