Show M ASSOCIATION 1 ICffl'S CUE Efforts to Make Exposition a State Concern Has Stirred Up Claim Holders. Special to Tho Tribune. BOISE, Idaho, March 7. The Idaho Iiitermountain Fair association, which 'f or 'a "nihhber of 3'ears' conducted tho in-termouutain in-termouutain fair of -''this section in Boiso and aspired to become a state fair, has been placed in tho hands of a reccivor through an action instituted in the district court by the Carlson-Lush, firm to secure payment of a claim of .?215.'10. The court has named Kugene Looney, one of the former fair directors, direct-ors, receiver. Tho announcement is made by those associated with the fair management that this action is a friendly friend-ly one, brought for the purposo of pre serving tlie assets or the association. Tho fair directors have mado a jpropo-sition jpropo-sition to the commissioners of this citv to sell tho fair grounds as a city park by submitting to voters a bond issue to purchase tho site for uso for that purpose. pur-pose. Tho commissioners havo taken no definite action on tho proposal up to the present time. An effort was made during the last session of the legislature legisla-ture to secure a state appropriation for the purchaso of the fair grounds and its equipment and an annual maintenance funa to keep it up as a state fair, but it failed, owing to opon antagonism on the part of members of that body to appropriating money for a purposo of this kind. There is now a large number num-ber of creditors and since the placing of the fair association in tho hands of a receiver they have been filing their claims to get in on the settlement.
