Show WORKING TO BRING NATIONAL CANNERS Convention of 1915 for Big Organization Organiza-tion Is Probability for Salt Lake Oity. Efforts to have tho National Canners' association convention of 1915 held in Salt Lako aro being mado by tho convention con-vention committeo of the Commercial club. In view of the fact that Utah stands high in tho canning business of the United States. Salt Lake will be forcefully put forth as tho logical placo for the convention whon mcmbors of tho national association moot in Chicago to chooso a convention city somo timo this month. Tho convention committee of the Commercial Com-mercial club, together with the subcommittee, subcom-mittee, will meet at the Commercial club at 12:30 o'clock Monday with W. J. Parker, manager of the Wasatch Orchard Or-chard company of Ogden and formerly a delogato to tho National Canners ' convention. con-vention. Mr. Parkor will work with the committoo with a view to bringing tho convention to Salt Lako. It is not known -what other cities will try for tho convention. Tho members or the subcommlttco in chargo of presenting pre-senting Bait Lake's claims at the meeting meet-ing in Chicago aro B. E. Leis and J. C. Wyatt Tho convention committeo will also try to get for Salt Lake tho annual convention of the Railway Signal Association Asso-ciation of Engineers, -which will also be held early in 1915. E. W. Nowcomb. signal engineer for tho Oregon Short Line, will assist the committoo In bringing bring-ing the convention here. |
