OCR Text	Show DIES WHILE FRIENDS TRY TO OBTAIN PARDON SACRAMENTO, Cal., Dec. 20. Friends of Andrew V. Taylor, who served twenty-seven twenty-seven yoars in state prison for murder, wished to see his parole extended to a full pardon before Christmas. An appeal ap-peal was mado to Governor Johnson on behalf of the old man and many .letters were written by disinterested persons, who were struck by the pathos of the case. Favorable action was expected. Todav word came to the governor's office of-fice that Taylor had died In the Butte county Infirmary last March-
