A. i Assumes Duties in This City. 0 Will Eliot Wrieht, socrctary of the Young Men's Christian association, took up his duties at tho association headquarters on State street Saturday. Mr. Wright was formerly comicclod with Y. M. C. A. work at Portland. Ore., and at lScllinghum, Wash. While at Bollingham ho was general secretary for four years. He acted in a similar capacity at Portland for two years. It is tho intention of Secretary Wright to push the association work to its utmost during the coming winter. Ho is of tho opinion that public sentiment will demand de-mand larger quarters for tho boys. Tho idea in mind is to have at least two moro stories installed on. tho present building. A new secretary for tho boys' department depart-ment will bo one" of the changes, while from indications A. C. Wyinan of Bollingham, Bol-lingham, Wash., will have charge of the educational work. Oscar Gingrich will continuo in the capacity of physical director in gymnastic work. The regular regu-lar class work in the gymnasium will begin in October. Tho Bollingham Herald speaks in tho highest terms of Mr. Wright, and tho Salt Lake Y. M. C. A. congratulates itself upon securing his sorvices. |
