Provisions were strong early in the day, but later felt tho grain weakness and closed unchanged to 1c down. Weak foreign markets and a slack demand de-mand outside helped along the weakness In the wheat market and the grain closed at tho low point for the day and week. Shorts, seeking to cover Septepibcr, furnished fur-nished about all tho support visible and tho efforts of the bulls were Inadequate to hold prices in the face of the overwhelming over-whelming bearish sentiment Receipts have been at Hood height for three weeks and the cash market had little outlet to the oast. Heavy country offerings and a strong eastern demand kept corn on the down grade. Cash corn sold oft 1c to lc; No. 2 yellow closed at 62G2c. The close of futures was weak, with September lSgp 11c off at GOic. December finished 18c to lZc down at 573c to 57Jc. Oats exhibited less weakness, but were dragged down by liquidation and burdened bur-dened by the enormous receipts of the last week. The markot closed weak at nearly tho low point, with September lc off at 35c. December closed Be down at Shorts boosted the provisions market early in the day. Tho close was weak, with pork unchanged to 12c down at 521.35: lard. 21c to 71c down at 512.021. and ribs unchanged to 71c off at 512.17J for the September delivery.
