Show APPRECIATIVE WORDS. A gentleman writing from tho southern south-ern part of Utah in appreciation of Tho Tribune's good work for justice and equal rights in Utah says: "I havo been a reader of your valuable paper for many years, and admiro very much the good work which you are doing in trying to bring the law-defying element to justice and in trying to mako of Utah a State of equal rights for all.'' And ho closes his lotter by "wishing you all kinds of success in your fight against Joseph F. Smith and his law-defying law-defying bunch of polygamists, and that your efforts will result in Utah .becoming .becom-ing an American State for Amoricau people." The Tribune appreciates highly a commendation like that. It is receiving receiv-ing more of it than ever before in its history; and that commendation comes moro than ovor bofore from tho Mormon Mor-mon people thomsclvcs. Tho light of a new day is breaking for Utah, by reason of the glorious American fight that is boing made against ecclesiastical control in civil affairs and in demanding equal rights for all before the law and the duo pun ishment of law-breakers, whether of high or low degree. |
