Show I; PERIL IN FIRE AT LEW; SEEMED INCENDIARY Special to Tho Tribune. LEHI Aug. 20. A mysterious fire at 2 o clock this morning destroyed the homo of J. A. Goodwin, occupied by Mrs. George Littley, the latter being able to save but about one-half of her household furniture. ; About 2 o'clock Mrs. Littley was awak-, awak-, ened by what she supposed to bo some one knocking on the door. Hurriedly donning a kimono she opened the door only to find the entire porch ablaze. There had been no fire In the stove all day and the only lamp In tho house was still alight when Mrs. Littley was awakened. Other parties who were first on the scene ! also confirm Mrs. Llttley's statement as to the fire starting on tho porch. The J local fire department, after making a mllo j run, found the building practically eaten 1 up by the (lames, but saved a part of j the walls. There was no insurance. |
