Show SHERIFF COFFEY SUED; DIDN'T SERVE EXECUTION Special to The Tribune. PARK CITY, Aug. 20. Henry Shields has filed suit against J. J. Coffey, sheriff of Summit county, and against his bondsmen, bonds-men, Henry Welsh, William Archibald and Julian Frankel, for the recovery of $1760. Shields claims that Coffey refused re-fused to servo an execution from tho district dis-trict court of Salt Lake county. Shields was given Judgment in tho district court In tho sum of $4700 in tho case of Honry Shields against Rasmus Larson, and he says that Sheriff Coffey refused to serve a proscribed execution in tho case. Shields says that Coffey refused to serve the execution because Shields withdrew as a bondsman of tho sheriff when tho sheriff and Coffey closed gambling in this city two weeks ago. |
