Show LAKE HI . IGflKIK PUBLIC Spiders Are in Possession and Regular Trains Are Being Gut Out. "I've a notion to sue The Tribune because be-cause of Its stories about tho spiders at Saltalr," said Nicol Hood of Sugar House Saturday. "Tho Tribune has said from tlmo to tlmo that thoro were many spiders at Saltalr, and 1 presumed that tho paper told tho truth, but when I got ou there Friday and found millions of- tlicso dangerous Insects, It struck me that The Trlbuno might as woll havo told tho whole truth about tho matter while It was about It. ' "Spiders why, thoro aro millions or them, Immense fellows and you don't need opera glasses or a slug of 'Juice' to sco them. Thoy havo slmpiy overrun the placo, and when I got out there with rnembcrs of my family and sized up tho situation, I simply took tho next train for homo." Another prominent man complained to Tho Trlbuno Saturday about the wretched train service now being given to patrons of tho resort. Tho Tribune's Informant said he was at the lako Friday evening and was desirous of returning home upon a train that was scheduled to leave the resort about 10 o'clock. There was no train, however, and tho crowd had to come in on tho last train, which was crowded to a dangerous degree, women and children being compelled to ride upon up-on tho steps of the cars. It la said that the 10 o'clock train was purposely cut out, in order to keep the people at tho lake for tho benefit of the concessions. It was alleged that a "busted "bust-ed engine" was the causo of tho train being be-ing eliminated, but this talo lias become old. |
