Tho house was decorated with pink and white carnations and smilax. The bride was attired in a benutlful white silk and j laco gown and was attended by her sis ter. Miss Rose Thomas, Dan Thomas, brother of the bride, was best man A ( wedding supper followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Ehersole will reside in Og- i den for two months, when they will ' leave for Chicago to make their homo. Mrs. A. K. Heywood left Thursday J evening for Portland, where she will visit ; i a short time with her mother, Mrs. William Guthrie, who has been spending ; several months in Oregon. The event was a ii farewell party to 'the minister and his wife, who will leave September 1 for Lawrence. Kan., where Mr. Elderkln will" assume the pastorate of tho Plymouth Congregational church. About 130 gathered gath-ered to pay their respects to the pastor and his wife. An elaborate supper was served on the large lawn, which was t brilliantly lighted with Japaneso lanterns. During the evening an excellent musical musi-cal programme was rendered by a number num-ber of talented vocalists of this city. Mrs. Harry Sims read an original poem relating to the nature of the retiring minister's work In the community . which caused much favorable comment. The luncheon. of tho afternoon, was elaborate, a beautiful beauti-ful bouquet of purple and white sweet peas forming the centerpiece. A pleasant afternoon was spent. Mrs. Andrew Mortonsen pleasantly entertained en-tertained a number of her friends Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at a nicely arranged social. A dainty lunch wos served and a pleasant pleas-ant time reported. Little Florence McCafferty entertained a number of her friends in honor of her seventh anniversary.
