Show STRIKE OR. LOCKOUT Glass Manufacturers and Their Workmen Work-men Cannot Agreo. ATLANTIC CITY, N. J., July 2S. Members of the Bottle Glass and Vial Manufacturers and the wage committee of tho National Bottle Blowers' association, associa-tion, reprosontlng tho 10,000 workmen In the factories of tho United States and Canada, adjournod tonight, after a total disagreement over tho wage schedule for tho coming year. The members, headed by John Ralston of Pittsburg, Insisted on their demand for a reduction in tho wage scale of 33 por cent, whilo tho men stood out for a continuance of tho scalo paid last year without formal agreemont. President Dennis A. Hayes of the blowers, who heads hla committee, stated tonight that the disagreement would not bo likely to result in a strike or lockout, owing to the present great demand for glass, but admitted that there Is little chance for further conference that would result in an agreement.
