Show Lives Lost by Sinking of Vessel Six Hundred and Seven ty-Forur Men "Went Down "With Japanese Vessels. TOKIO. May J3. Revised figure show that sixty-one non-commissioned officers and 27S bluejackets ware killed and drowned, seven officers, of-ficers, thirteen non-commlseloned officers offi-cers and fifty bluejackets slightly wounded and twelve bluejackets seriously seri-ously wounded in the sinking of the Japanese Ja-panese battleship Hatsuse by a mine off Port Arthur on May 15. Two hundred and thirty-fire non-cornmliraloned olll-cers olll-cers and men lost their lives on the cruiser Yoshlno, which was rammed and sunk by the cruiser Kaamga on the same day that the Hatause was blown up. The navy department has not yet received a detailed report of the two disasters. |
