Show COMMENCEMENT IN THE DAVIS COUNTY SCHOOLS Special to Tho Tribune. FARM1NGTON, Utah. May S. Tho eloventh commencement exercises of tho Davis county public schools was held In East Bountiful yesterday. It was a gala day not only for the IK graduates who received re-ceived their roward diplomas, but for tho principals and teachers who had guided them to succor, as well as County Superintendent Super-intendent E. M. Whiteside, tho man nt the helm, and tho public 'at large, who get tho benefit of tho thought and talent developed. After the exercises In the afternoon a banquet was given to the graduates and school officers, at which about 226 wera prosent. Hauerbach's orchestra or-chestra furnished the music. At night a ball, in honor of the graduates, was given at tho opera-house. ... The cae of M. C Charez v. Improved Brick company was continued by Judge Hani. John Orr and William O'Connor charged with grand larceny, asked for tlmo to plead, which was granted until June 27. John Echart, charged with grand larceny lar-ceny and housebreaking, was granted until un-til June 27 to onter his plea. In the suit of Thomas Steed vs. Rio Grande Western Railroad company, tried beforo a Jury, a verdict of J1003 for plaintiff plain-tiff was rendered. |
