But the juniors didn't seem ll to mind a bit, and retaliated by giving j ' class yells, singing their own class-day , JM songs and getting In shots at the se- ( H niors whenever opportunity presented. i H A Beautiful Picture. I When the curtain rose upon the first ( scone the entire class was standing on ' 1 iH the stage, part of the girls on one side wearing dresses of orange color, part . H on the other, dressed In white, their H dreBses bedecked with flowers, and still , i, iH othera, with the boy3 of the class form- j 1 ing a lino extending across the stage at H the back. As soon as the great ap- ( IH plause which greeted the class subsided. ' iH William D. Fowler, president of the class, delivered an address, in which JM advice was dealt out to the juniors In i , jM generous slices, and tho superiority of i H the seniors set forth in the mightiest air i ( of the speaker. Then came a series of 1 , H pretty figures and marches by all the ' members of the class, and so bcautl- , H fully were they done that the applauio I, ,M scarcely subsided for a moment while they were on. The drill of the boys at j the close was especially fine and would ( i , H have dono credit to a well-trained mill- i,l 11 tary organization. j The Second Scene. ' , In the second scene the boys and girls were dressed -in hunters' costumes, the , H girls with red caps and skirts and green 1 i jackets, the boys in leather leggings. khaki trousers ana nunuiiK tuiu, im pH capes and plumed hats In bright col- , iH ore. Pretty marching figures were a i U feature of this scene also. M But the third was the prettiest scene of all, when the sweet girl graduate 1 J 'H appeared In real earnest, wearing the , ; daintiest of white gowns and with the ; H boys of tho class, presenting a truly attractive picture. The figures in this scene were beautiful, and were quite as . , jH enthusiastically applauded as the mill- ton' figures of the preceding scene. 'H Diplomas Are Presented. , Then the curtain was rung down for a JjH moment and the class marched In i again, this time the members wear ng (i tho college cap and gown and going i through a series of pretty steps. Fn- , nlly thev stood in a ecmi-clrcle about the large stage, when President Moyle ' tiM made a brief address and presented , Vm them with their diplomas. just before singing their farewell ( none which by the way was one of the pre&elt of the evening.
