Harvey King was found guilty of obtaining ob-taining money under false pretenses', and was sentenced to serve twenty-five days at hard labor. King contracted bills which he nper intended to pay. He read the dally paper and Indulged In living like n gentleman of means, but when his creditors appeared he always al-ways offered excuses instead of cash. Finally he borrowed small sums of money under tho pretense that his mother was at the point of death. Sufficient evidence had then accumulated accumu-lated to convict him.
