Show Two Worthy Railroad promotions. t, V.'..'t': , '''' .'x, ''' SGHLACKS'S POSITION CREATES INTEREST THE appointment of C. H. Schlacks to be vice-president of the Rio Grande was yesterday the sole topic of speculation in local railroad rail-road circles. The fact that tho word "third" did not precede the title nor "general manager" succeed It, has led to the supposition that he will only be vice-president, whilo Mr. Harding's title was third vice-president and general gen-eral manager. Mr. Schlacks is now the general manager of tho Colorado Midland, Mid-land, so It is a safe guess that he will relinquish that title and be elected Its vice-president Then he would be the executive railroad representative In Denver of tho Gould railroad Interests. Another man would be tho active manager man-ager of the Midland while ho would bo the successor of Mr. Kramer on tho Midland. Mr. Kramer's successor In tho coal and Iron Interests would bo still another man. This seems to be the logical working out of tho matter, and it is exactly what officials are looking for. |
