Show BRAKEMAN LOSES AN EAR IN FIGHT WITH A HOBO Special to Tho Tribune. RAWLINS. Wyo., Slay 2S. H. E. Klstler, who has been deputy sheriff at. Medicine Bow during the shearing nnd dipping sensons, has been dismissed, the services of an ofllcer being no longer long-er required. James Naglc. a brakeman on the Seventh district, Is minus an ear as a result of an encounter with a hobo at a telegraph station west of here last night. The hob6 had tried to ride the train Into Rawlins, but when Nnglc found him ho attempted to put the tourist oft the train, using the butt of his gun. A little later the hobo paw him at the station -and engaged him again, chewing off his left car. Oscar Booth, who was adjudged Insane In-sane here a few days ago, was taken to Evnnston this evening' to be placed In the hospital. The seventeenth annual graduating exercises of tho Rawlins high school were held last evening. President Lewis delivered the address and a very strong one on the "Educational Viewpoint." The graduates, Misses Evalyn Miller and Florence Ross, received many presents, pres-ents, among them a gold ring1 each, presented pre-sented by the B. P. O. E. lodge, according accord-ing to the usual custom of that order. |
