Would-Be Suicide ' talis io Reporter After Getting1 Newspaper Man All Excited, Mrs. Harry "Witt Gets Nervous and Spills Poison. TD AMUSE herself and entertain the neighbors Mrs. Harry "Witt, of 1S7 F street, announced about S o'clock last night that she had taken carbolic acid. Before lying down to breathe her last she called up The Tribune and said that a woman had dropped dead at 1S7 F street, but that she did not want anything' said about IL A neighbor, to whom Mrs. "Witt had communicated her gruesome secret, telephoned Dr. C. He called in a neighbor and Mrs. Witt declared that she had swallowed a large- dose of carbolic acid. The boy then ran. out to look for his father and the doctor was sent for.
