Show Bountiful Baha'is Join Convention on matters of importance to the Baha'is of Utah, and to make recommendations for the delegate to take to the national na-tional convention. Those elected were Rick DaBell, a psychologist from Salt Lake County, delegate; Hoda Mahmoudi, sociologist and professor at Westminster College, Salt Lake County, first alternate; and Mana De-rakhshani. The Baha'is of Bountiful recently re-cently joined with Baha'is from all over the state in attending the annual state Baha'i convention held this year in Salt Lake City. THE PURPOSE of the convention con-vention was to elect the deli-gate deli-gate who will represent Utah Baha'is at the national convention conven-tion held next spring in Wil-mette. Wil-mette. 111. At this convention the assembled delegates will elect the members of the National Na-tional Spiritual Assembly, the governing body of the Baha'i Faith in the U.S. The members of the National Spiritual Assembly will, in turn, participate partici-pate in the election of the Universal Uni-versal House of Justice, the governing Baha'i institution for all nations. This election will be held in 1983. Baha'i elections, at all levels, are conducted in a spirit of prayer and quiet contemplation. contempla-tion.
