Show REHEARSE FOR 'OKLAHOMA' The musical production, "Oklahoma," will be presented Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7, at the LDS Regional Center (former Valley Music Hall). Presented by the Bountiful Mueller Park Stake, the star-studded cast includes 1 to r, Brian Slagowski, Janis Elton, , Mary Beth Wynder, LaRae Child and Brent Child. Their staff is made up of Joan Behunin, Rose Ann Peterson, Ida Lou Dewey, Nina Eggbert, Kathy Stevens, Bonnie Shaffer, Shaf-fer, Audin Seljaas, Bob Mol-lerup. Mol-lerup. Milt Homer, Nanette Nelson, Sharon Gunnell and Kent Lundquist. Gordon Homer will direct the full orchestra. THE DATES to remember are Nov. 6-7 at the Woods Cross Regional Center. Tickets Tick-ets are available a.t the door or can be obtained by calling Ida Lou Dewey, 292-5841. Cost, $8 a family or $2 per adult. Bountiful Mueller Park Stake will present "Oklahoma." "Oklaho-ma." written and produced by Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1943. Doug and Karen Barnes w ill direct and choreograph the musical. Doug has taught at the University of Utah as well as directing numerous choirs. Karen owns and operates her dance studio in Bountiful and has done the choreography for many musicals including "Hello, Dolly" which was sponsored by the Bountiful Theater Guild. SHARLENE JE.NSON will direct 100 young children in a brief pre-show extravaganza entitled "Fifth Nifty States." The story of Oklahoma takes place just after the turn of the century as Oklahoma gains statehood. Participating in the production are: Mary Beth Wynder, as Aunt Eller; Brent Child as Curly; LaRae Child as Laurey; Brian Slagowski Sla-gowski as Will Parker; Janis Elton as Ado Annie; Robert Dewey as Alii Hakim; Bob Steorts as Andrew Carnes and Raphel Mecham as Jud Fry. COPRODUCERS are Joanne Joan-ne Tingey and Scott Steorts. |
