MICKELSEN FARMINGTON Davis County computer experts ex-perts have uncovered a program which may allow county administrators to index ordinances and legal agreements and store the names and addresses of important city and county officials. COUNTY CLERK Rod Walker said the program-discovered program-discovered by data processing supervisor Lamont Fowler will cost the county a total of $1500 to implement. im-plement. The problem is tight budget restrictions throughout through-out county departments have left insufficient funds for the indexing program. He said there isn't enough money in the computer budget to cover the entire cost of the program, but said the program can be organized on a trial basis until money is available. ACCORDING to the contract, interested parties are invited to examine the program on a limited basis. There is a required $100 filing fee which Walker Wal-ker said is refunded if the program is unacceptable. He said there is enough money in the budget to cover the $100 fee. THE SYSTEM will allow the county to index existing ex-isting ordinances and agreements and will provide storage of names and addresses needed for county-related county-related transactions. County Auditor Ludeen Gibbons said the program may save the county "a lot of money" in the future. "I THINK it's worthwhile investment compared to what we have spent " Com. Harry B. Gerlach said.
