Show 6Hamlet5 Slated At Weber William Shakespeare's "Hamlet; Prince of Denmark" is now being readied for a Nov. 2 opening at Weber State Theatre, according to director Martin L. Kelly. THE PRODUCTION will play through Nov. 7 at 8 p.m. in the M. Thatcher Allred Theatre of the Val A. Browning Brown-ing Center for the Performing Arts. A Saturday matinee performance per-formance will be held Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. The production was postponed post-poned from last year. Mr. Kelly Kel-ly became ill and the production produc-tion committee decided to postpone the show until he could return to it. KELLY DESCRIBED the production as "fast-paced and very moving. We think that we are going to be able to show people why "Hamlet" has had such universal appeal and popularity for neary 400 years. Cast in the title role as the "melancholy dane" is Thomas J. Cowan, who just completed a degree at WSC in Theatre Arts. Playing Gertrude, the queen and Hamlet's mother, will be Mr. Cowan's wife, the former Teri Campbell, a veteran veter-an actress in many plays at Weber State. W ILLIAM A. Earl will play Hamlet's uncle, the murderer Caludius. Stephen Marble will play Polonious; Angela Ditt-mar Ditt-mar plays Ophelia and Donald R. Glover will be Polonius' son, Laertes. Others in the cast are Curtis Hollis, Steve Perry, Patrick McLane, Dave Cranford, Mark Watson, Jim Farley, Robert Vaughan, Rodney Montague, John Morris, Cody Edrington, John T. Willhite, Brett Roundtree, Raejean Lewis, Holly Mikesell. Kathy Leahy, Vickiann Merrill and Deanna Allen. STAGE MANAGER is Drew J. Benson, assisted by Curtis Pendleton. Costumes by Joyce Anna Hanson with Donald R. Glover the technical director. Tickets are on sale at the Weber Staie Theatre box-office box-office in the south lobby of the Browning Center from 12-6 p.m. daily.
